Objectives
The objectives of our project are:
1. To provide a convenient but secure online service that allows internet users to do online business.
2. To create the website with the web application prototypes that allow people to upload, edit, delete and view the data in database.
Introduction
Basically our project is to design a website that provides the information of the products for sale. As people are getting more familiar with online business, we are looking forward to provide this kind of platform for people who want to sell or buy products online. Besides that it makes life easier for those who are lazy to walk out for a shop also because they can simply search and get the things they want in our website as long as there is a seller. Sellers can simply upload the product for sale information into our database anytime. People can view the information through our website. Other than showing the latest post, people can always use the search function to check whether the relevant product is available. Buyers can get the contacts of the sellers from the sales information.
Thus this makes life a lot easier for people to buy and sell things.
Due to the first time of doing website project, we have encountered problem on choosing programming language for it. After some research and consultation to seniors, we decided to choose PHP and Mysql as our programming language for the server and database. After that, we have developed a work breakdown structure for the project. First we will create an uploading form and database to enable users to upload and store their information. At the same time, we can design the user interface of the website. After that we will write the programming for the website by using PHP. The finalizing part is to connect our website to the database so that data storing and reading is working in the website. We will be starting our works according to the plan as soon as the gantt chart is done.

ReplyDeleteThis is ok but your plan is not detailed enough.....you may need to change from time to time to fulfill realistic situation
We use Microsoft Visio 2003 to draw the AOA.
ReplyDeleteWe use Data Flow Diagram to draw the AOA.
Our Gantt Chart is draw by using Microsoft Project 2003.
We will update from time to time about our progress.
